Samantha made her debut as a producer with the film ‘Subham’, which was released on 9 May.
ZEE5 had acquired the digital rights to the film for a fancy price. However, as per the latest update, the noted platform has suddenly backed out of the deal.
The reasons behind this move are not yet known, but it has come as a shock to Samantha, who is now busy negotiating with ZEE5 to resolve the matter.
Though no official confirmation has been made, sources suggest the deal was canceled due to some financial obligations between the two parties.
‘Subham’ is directed by Praveen Kandregula and features mostly newcomers in lead roles. The horror-comedy revolves around women who get possessed by evil spirits while watching a particular TV show.
