Screenwriter Rathna Kumar has moved to quell speculation surrounding ‘AA23’, the upcoming collaboration between actor Allu Arjun and director Lokesh Kanagaraj. Recent social media chatter had suggested that the ambitious pan-Indian project was facing financial hurdles and might have been put on hold, prompting concern among fans.

Without directly addressing the rumours, Rathna Kumar appeared to signal that the project remains on track. Marking the fourth anniversary of ‘Vikram’, he shared a nostalgic post reflecting on his journey with Lokesh Kanagaraj and concluded it by expressing excitement for ‘AA23’. His remarks were widely interpreted as a sign that development on the film is continuing.

The speculation originated from an unverified social media post claiming that a major multilingual film was struggling to secure financing. Although the post did not identify any specific project, many online users linked it to ‘AA23’.

Announced earlier this year, the film generated significant buzz with its launch video and music composed by Anirudh Ravichander. While fans await further updates, there has been no official indication from the makers that the project has encountered any major setbacks.

Meanwhile, Allu Arjun is currently occupied with director Atlee’s upcoming film ‘Raaka’, which also stars Deepika Padukone.
