Actor Nithiin is preparing for the release of his upcoming film ‘Alias Rukmini’, which is being produced by actor Nani under his Unanimous Productions banner. The makers have confirmed December 4 as the film’s theatrical release date, with the production nearing completion.
Directed by Murali Kanth Devasoth, who previously helmed ‘Dandoraa’, the project is being produced by Nani’s sister, Deepthi Ganta. Nani has taken on the role of producer after reportedly being impressed by the story presented by the filmmaker.
Nithiin has been seeking a major commercial success following a challenging period at the box office, and the new project is expected to be an important release in his upcoming slate.
The director’s previous film, ‘Dandoraa’, received recognition and accolades, including a Gaddar Film Award instituted by the Telangana government. That response has added to the interest surrounding his latest collaboration.
The team had earlier released a promotional video announcing the title, which received an encouraging response. According to the makers, just one shooting schedule remains before principal photography is completed.
Post-production activities are already progressing alongside the remaining shoot, as the team works towards meeting its announced release date.
The newly released poster offers a glimpse of Nithiin’s character. He appears as a middle-class man carrying a bag in a crowded court setting, surrounded by lawyers and police personnel. His expression suggests a character caught in an unfamiliar situation, while the silhouette of the female lead adds an element of intrigue.
