The makers of Naga Chaitanya’s upcoming adventure film ‘Vrushakarma’ have officially announced its theatrical release date. The film, which also stars Meenakshi Chaudhary as the female lead, is set to reach cinemas on December 4.

‘Vrushakarma’ is directed by Karthik Dandu, who previously helmed the supernatural thriller ‘Virupaksha’. The project was launched in December 2024, while its official title was unveiled a year later.

BVSN Prasad is producing the film under the Venkateswara Cine Chitra banner, with filmmaker Sukumar also backing the project through Sukumar Writings.

Adding to the curiosity surrounding the film, Sparsh Srivastava of ‘Laapataa Ladies’ fame has been cast as the antagonist. His inclusion marks an interesting addition to the principal cast and has generated further interest in the project.

The technical team includes composer Ajaneesh B. Loknath, cinematographer Ragul D. Herian, editor Naveen Nooli and production designer Sri Nagendra Tangala. Stunt choreography has been handled by Tudor Lazarov.

The makers have maintained secrecy around the storyline, but the film is said to combine adventure with fantasy and mythological elements.

In a notable business development, Zee has acquired the non-theatrical rights to ‘Vrushakarma’, covering its satellite and digital components, reportedly for Rs. 48 crore.

With its December 4 release date now confirmed, the Naga Chaitanya starrer is gearing up for a theatrical outing that blends adventure, fantasy and mythology.
