The Malayalam cyberpunk thriller ‘Masthishka Maranam’ , starring Rajisha Vijayan, has officially sealed its digital release date. Following its unique theatrical run that began in late February, the film is set to premiere on Netflix tomorrow, Friday, March 27, 2026.
Directed by the innovative filmmaker Krishand, the movie is set in a dystopian “Neo Kochi” in the year 2040.
It follows a grieving father who descends into a virtual reality memory game to reconnect with his lost child, only to uncover unsettling truths about a global superstar.
The film has been praised for its “A24-style” unique visual language and bold genre-blending of sci-fi, dark humor, and satire. The digital release is expected to reach a global audience, showcasing the experimental side of modern Malayalam cinema.
