Director Lokesh Kanagaraj has fuelled anticipation around his upcoming collaboration with Allu Arjun by teasing fresh developments about their yet-to-be-titled film.
On Monday, the filmmaker posted a photograph on Instagram showing him engaged in a conversation with the actor. The accompanying caption promised interesting updates soon, although no details about the announcement were revealed.
Tentatively titled ‘AA23’ and ‘LK7’, the project marks Allu Arjun’s 23rd film as a lead actor and Lokesh’s seventh directorial venture.
Production house Mythri Movie Makers officially announced the collaboration in January, describing it as a major cinematic partnership. The announcement indicated that production would begin in 2026, with plans for a pan-Indian release.
Music composer Anirudh Ravichander is attached to the project, reuniting with Lokesh after their previous collaborations on ‘Master’, ‘Vikram’, ‘Leo’ and ‘Coolie’.
The announcement video’s theme music previously crossed one million reels on Instagram, drawing considerable attention to the project. Lokesh subsequently shared a photograph with Allu Arjun to mark the milestone.
Although the makers have kept the storyline under wraps, reports suggest that Allu Arjun could appear in a markedly different look from his previous roles. A source close to the production has indicated that the actor and director have spent considerable time researching possible appearances for the character.
There has also been speculation that the film could explore science-fiction or superhero elements. However, the production team has yet to confirm these reports.
With Lokesh’s latest social media post hinting at new information, fans are now waiting for the filmmakers to reveal more about one of the most anticipated upcoming collaborations in Indian cinema.
