Vishnu Manchu’s epic devotional drama ‘Kannappa’ has achieved a significant milestone, receiving a special screening at the prestigious Rashtrapati Bhavan.
This rare honor adds another feather to the film’s cap, highlighting its cultural significance and devotion-driven storytelling.
The makers took to social media to express their gratitude, stating, “Honoured beyond words! #Kannappa received a special screening at Rashtrapati Bhavan, a proud recognition of its devotion-driven storytelling and cultural significance. Har Har Mahadev Har Ghar Mahadev.”
Reports indicate that senior officials from the Ministry of Information and Broadcasting were in attendance and appreciated the film’s spiritual resonance, emotional depth, and grand visual scale.
Released on June 27, ‘Kannappa’ explores the legend of the Shiva devotee of the same name, presented as a period fantasy drama.
Vishnu Manchu not only stars as the titular character but also served as the screenwriter, with his father, Mohan Babu, producing the film under the banners of 24 Frames Factory and AVA Entertainments. The star-studded cast includes Mohanlal, Prabhas (in a cameo as Rudra), Akshay Kumar, Kajal Aggarwal, and R. Sarathkumar, among others.
