Nandamuri Balakrishna’s sequel, ‘Akhanda 2: Thaandavam’, has officially cleared its censor hurdle, securing a U/A certificate from the CBFC.
Directed by Boyapati Sreenu, the film is set for a worldwide theatrical release on December 5, 2025, with a reported runtime of 166 minutes (2 hours and 46 minutes).
The sequel follows up on the blockbuster success of the 2021 film Akhanda, in which Balakrishna played a fierce Aghora.
‘Akhanda 2’ promises to raise the stakes, with a high-stakes narrative featuring enemies plotting against the nation.
Balakrishna reprises his dual roles, supported by Samyuktha Menon as the female lead and Aadhi Pinisetty as the antagonist, marking his second collaboration with director Sreenu after ‘Sarrainodu’.
The film’s music is composed by Thaman S.
