Nandamuri Balakrishna struck an emotional chord with his fans and the media during the Tamil press meet for his highly anticipated film, ‘Akhanda 2’.
The event was held in Chennai ahead of the movie’s grand worldwide release this Friday, December 5.
Addressing the gathering, Balakrishna expressed a deep, personal connection to the city. “Thank you to everyone. Since I was born here, Chennai feels like my own home,” he stated, before giving a heartfelt summation of his life’s geography: “Madras is my birthplace, Telangana is my workplace, and Andhra is my spiritual land.”
He also took time to praise the late great actors of the Tamil industry, recalling his early life spent in Madras.
The action spectacle, directed by his frequent collaborator Boyapati Sreenu, was reportedly shot across various countries in a swift 130-day schedule.
Balakrishna highlighted the film’s powerful theme, assuring that ‘Akhanda 2’ will delve deeply into spiritual narratives. He asserted that the movie will be an “encyclopedia” for future generations, showcasing “the glory and strength of Sanatana Dharma” and teaching viewers to stand for truth.
The actor exuded confidence that the sequel will continue the hit streak he shares with Boyapati Sreenu, building on the phenomenal success of the original ‘Akhanda’, which was a blockbuster hit upon its release during the pandemic.
