It was recently confirmed that Vishal would direct the remaining portions of ‘Thupparivalan 2’ after director Mysskin walked out of the project due to differences with the actor, who is also its producer.
Now, Vishal feels happy about the decision. “I think it’s a blessing in disguise. I didn’t expect this to happen, but I am excited. A director is the captain of the ship. You have responsibilities… it’s nice to dwell in departments like editing, composing, rerecording,” he said.
Sources close to VIshal said recently that Mysskin did not stick to the originally accepted budget and his team did not get required permissions to shoot in the United Kingdom despite camping there much in advance.
Also, it was said that Mysskin shot off a mail to VIshal, laying a new set of conditions, which were ‘unaccceptable’. However, sources close to Mysskin denied these allegations and said the director walked out of the film since he found certain things unprofessional. Besides Vishal, ‘Thupparivalan 2’ stars Prasanna in a key role.
