Once again, rumours have cropped up about Vijay-starrer ‘Master’, whose release plans were spoiled by the Covid-19 induced lockdown, would directly release on OTT platform- Amazon Prime.
Pointing out to a listing on Amazon Prime, which said that ‘Master’ would soon be out on the platform, many have started saying that the Vijay film would have a straight digital release, rather than hitting the theatres.
However, clearing the air on it, official distributors of ‘Master’, 7 Screen Studio tweeted: “It is 2016 Korean film #Master listed on Amazon Prime and not #ThalapathyVijay ’s #Master!! We will have a grand theatrical release”.
Directed by Lokesh Kanagaraj of ‘Maanagaram’ fame, ‘Master’ has Vijay Sethupathi, Malavika Mohanan, Andrea Jeremiah, Shanthanu Bhagyaraj, Chethan and Gauri Kishan among others in key roles. Music is by Anirudh Ravichander.
