Vijay’s son Jason Sanjay, who is studying filmmaking at a university in Canada, is stranded in that country due to global lockdown to prevent the spread of coronavirus pandemic.
Though Jason is said to be safe, it is said Vijay and other members of the family are concerned about him and are in regular touch with him. “They want him to reach India at the earliest,” sources said.
Vijay is currently staying at his ECR residence with his wife Sangeetha and daughter Divya Sasha. Meanwhile, the actor’s ‘Master’, which was supposed to hit the screens on April 9 but could not do so due to lockdown, is now expected to see the light of the day on June 21, which happens to be the birthday of Vijay.
Though lockdown is expected to be lifted in India on May 3, it is likely to continue in other countries like the United States and Malaysia, where the ‘Thalapathy’ has a good market. Hence, makers of ‘Master’ have decided to release the movie in June, sources said.
‘Master’ is written and directed by Lokesh Kanagaraj. The film stars actors Vijay and Vijay Sethupathi playing the lead roles with an ensemble cast, featuring Malavika Mohanan, Shanthanu Bhagyaraj, Arjun Das, Andrea Jeremiah, Gouri Kishan and Ramya Subramanian amongst others, play supporting roles.
