The Tamil film industry and political circles are in a state of shock following widespread reports that Sangeetha Sornalingam, wife of actor-turned-politician Vijay, has officially approached the court seeking a divorce.

The news suggests that the legal proceedings are already underway. According to reports, the divorce petition was reportedly filed at the Chengalpattu Family Court.
