Vanitha Vijayakumar, who is set to enter wedlock with VFX technician Peter Paul, has said someone else getting a divorce or marrying for the 100th time should not be anyone’s business.
Talking about past relationships, the actress and ‘Bigg Boss’ participant said in an interview, “Society still criticises women for getting out of toxic relationships. I went through it for years, but couldn’t speak about it as I didn’t want to hurt anyone. I had no support from my family then. After struggling for a few years, finally, I said no when I felt I couldn’t take it anymore.”
Vanitha has been married twice before. She has a son Vijay Srihari, and two daughters Jovika and Jayintha. She says more than anyone else, her children support her decision to marry Peter.
Her daughter Jovika wrote in an online message to Vanitha: “I love you and support you 10000% no matter what happens and no matter who says what, because I know YOU and YOU are hardworking, loyal, fabulous, cheerful, kind and loving… never forget that!!
And you deserve happiness as much as everyone else. Not everybody has hope not everybody believes in magic and not everybody believes in love but you do and it has paid off very well.”
