Pa Ranjith who was the special guest of the event said that ‘Vikram’ will be a good response to all those whi criticise dearth of good content in Tamil cinema.

He also announced that he will soon work with Kamal Haasan.

Udhayanidhi Stalin, who will be distributing Vikram under his Red Giant Films banner thanked Kamal Haasan for getting him onboard for the project.

“There are rumours that I forced this collaboration to happen. But, he is not someone who can be threatened. There is a particular reason for this collaboration to happen and I would let it remain between us,” he added.

Vijay Sethupathi said that he requested Lokesh Kanagaraj to give a small opportunity to share screen space with Kamal Haasan.

” I was curious about Kamal Haasan’s working style and wanted to learn up close. He is in an ocean of knowledge and the insights that I received from him excited me a lot. I would like to act in Kamal’s direction one day,” he added.

Music composer said that ‘Vikram’ is a complete fanboy package from Lokesh Kanagaraj.

He said that the movie has come out really well.

Lokesh Kanagaraj said he was fan boy who waited outside Kamal’s house to catch a glimpse of him.

“My entire career is only because of him. I am glad that I am able to direct him. I would also like to thank Suriya for playing a cameo in the movie. Though I wanted to keep it a secret, i has come out now. I had my doubts about casting Vijay Sethupathi as the villain for the second time in my movie after ‘Master’. Initially I was hesitant to approach Fahadh, but now we have become close friends,” he said.

Kamal Haasan said that he was impressed with Lokesh’s journey as a filmmaker.

“I would definitely team up with him again,” he said.

Kamal also thanked all the technicians and co-stars.

Speaking about the collaboration between Raajkamal Films International and Red Giant Movies Kamal said, ” Politics apart, I have always shared a good rapport with Stalin. It is more like my friendship with Rajini.  We may be competitors but we are friends,” he said.

It may be noted that the trailer has already crossed 1 crore views even before touching the 24-hour mark.
