Suriya has said after watching director Sudha Kongara’s ‘Irudhi Suttru’, he wanted to work with the filmmaker in at least one film and his wish came true with ‘Soorarai Pottru’.
In a media interaction, the actor, who has also produced the movie, said, “Sometimes, we don’t work with friends as the professional relationship might affect the personal connection but Irudhi Suttru was so good that I decided to work with her”.
He further said that he has completed the entire film in just 60 days but each day gave him immense satisfaction. Suriya ranked ‘Soorarai Pottru’ as one of the best films in his career.
Giving more details about the movie, he said, “I always relate experiences from my personal life when I act. That would give me more confidence. I am not such a spontaneous actor, who get under the skin of a character straight away and perform. Sudha personally knew me well and we discussed a lot before shooting each scene. That gave me confidence. It was a joy to be as real as possible to the character as visioned by Sudha.”
