Suriya, Karthi salute IAF warriors

With Suriya and Karthi being portrayed as ‘anti-Indians’ by a few quarters after their statements against the government, the actors paid tribute to the Indian Air Force warriors on the occasion of IAF Day.

Suriya posted, “I salute the Air Warriors, Veterans and Families of the #IndianAirForce. My gratitude to IAF fraternity for the valour and selfless service to our nation in securing our skies and assisting in times of disaster. Best wishes ‘Touch the Sky with Glory’ @IAF_MCC #IndianAirforceDay.”

Karthi wrote, “Having had the fortune to meet some of the most intelligent and valiant officers of the #IndianAirForce, I salute their commitment and Patriotism with immense respect. Jai Hind!”

President Ram Nath Kovind, Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Home Minister Amit Shah, Defence Minister Rajnath Singh and others also wished India’s air warriors.

Kovind tweeted: “On Air Force Day, we proudly honour our air warriors, veterans, and families of the Indian Air Force. The nation remains indebted to the contribution of the IAF in securing our skies and assisting civil authorities in Humanitarian Assistance and Disaster Relief.”

Modi said, “Many congratulations to all the brave warriors of the Indian Air Force on Air Force Day. You not only keep the skies of the country safe, but also play a leading role in the service of humanity in times of disaster. Your courage, valor and dedication to protect Maa Bharati is inspiring everyone.”
