Silambarasan is awaiting the release of ‘Pathu Thala’ which is all set to hit the screens on 30 March.
Now the official announcement about the actor’s next project has been made with the motion poster.
Desingh Periyasamy of ‘Kannum Kannum Kollaiyadithal’ fame will direct the film which will be bankrolled by Kamal Haasan’s Raaj Kamal Films.
Sources said that the movie which is touted to be a period drama will be made in a budget of over 100 crores.
Silambarasan is likely to play a dual role in the movie tentatively titled ‘STR 48’.
Music for the movie will be by Anirudh and the shooting is expected to commence in July.
