STR aka Simbu, who is an actor, filmmaker, singer and music composer, will be releasing a single, which he has composed, written and sung, this February.

According to reports, the song will be on a subject that the 90s kids, who proudly call themselves ‘morattu singles’, will identify with — relationship.

Meanwhile, Simbu-starrer ‘Maanaadu’ directed by Venkat Prabhu, which was earlier dropped, has now been given a fresh lease of life. Yuvan Shankar Raja seems to have already begun composing music for the film.

Simbu recently became spiritual and also decided to turn up for shoots on time. He crooned a motivational song for ‘Irumbu Manithan’.
According to Disney, the director of the movie, “The song, Don’t Worry Pullingo, is a motivational number. When we approached Simbu, he enquired about the lyrics and the theme of the film. He liked what he heard and immediately agreed to do it for us.

Though he had sung the number much before, he felt it needed a few corrections. So, after returning from Sabarimala, he made the necessary changes. Though the song has a message, it will be entertaining, too. It has been composed by KS Manoj and penned by Niranjan Bharathi.”

Simbu who recently stunned many by wearing ‘maala’ to Sabarimala, had also successfully completed his pilgrimage to the Lord Ayyappan temple in Kerala.
