Reports from Tamil cinema circles suggest that actor Santhanam is set to make a comeback to comedic roles in the highly anticipated sequel, ‘Jailer 2’, starring Rajinikanth.
Santhanam, who has been focusing on lead hero roles in recent years, is rumored to be reuniting with Rajinikanth on screen after a decade, a prospect that has excited his fan base.
While the actor has humorously commented on the speculation, a section of reports indicates his involvement is increasingly likely.
Director Nelson Dilipkumar is reportedly prioritizing the writing of comic subplots, especially involving returning comedian Yogi Babu, and Santhanam’s potential addition would further bolster the film’s comedy quotient.
Rajinikanth’s co-stars Ramya Krishnan and Yogi Babu have already been confirmed to reprise their roles in the sequel.
