Veteran Bollywood actor Sanjay Dutt has stirred up a conversation by openly expressing his anger towards director Lokesh Kanagaraj, for his limited role in ‘Leo’.
During a recent press interaction at the ‘KD’ teaser launch in Chennai, where Dutt was present alongside Dhruva Sarja, the actor candidly stated, “I worked with Thalapathy Vijay and I loved working with him. However, I am angry with Lokesh because he didn’t give me a big role. He wasted me.”
Dutt’s comments have come as a surprise to many, especially considering his previous praise for Kanagaraj, whom he had referred to as “my brother for life” on social media.
In ‘Leo’, Dutt portrayed Antony Das, the father of Vijay’s character Parthiban. While his presence added significant emotional weight, many critics and fans had noted the comparatively limited screen time and character development given the hype surrounding his involvement.
Despite his grievance, Dutt was quick to express his immense respect for Tamil cinema legends.
“Rajini sir and Kamal sir, I respect them a lot. They are my seniors, I look up to them, and I learn from them. I worked with Rajini sir in Hindi movies multiple times, and he is such a humble person,” he shared.
He also spoke warmly of his friendship with Ajith Kumar and conveyed his excitement for upcoming films like Rajinikanth’s ‘Coolie’.
