Veteran director Ram Gopal Varma has made some interesting predictions about how the film industry after the Covid-19 pandemic ends. He said the following during an online chat with Lakshmi Manchu.
He said, “We are going through a pandemic at the moment so our lifestyles are bound to get affected. People need cinema to deal with things so the art will live on but some changes have to be made to the process.”
RGV said further: “After the atom bombs were dropped in Japan the entire world assumed that the country will take forever to bounce back. Japan proved everyone wrong.”
“Similarly, the film industry too will get back on track soon. The technical work will increase, new-age film-making will be ushered in and OTT platforms will rise in prominence. Producers will be able to promote their films at lesser expenses. We have to wait and see how all this turns out,” he added.
Ram Gopal Varma also said that he is working on a few scripts and a web series at the moment.
