Superstar Rajinikanth recently watched a special private screening of ‘Kannappa’ and had a very positive reaction to the film.
The special screening took place on June 15, 2025, which notably coincided with the 30th anniversary of the iconic Telugu film ‘Pedarayudu’, in which Rajinikanth and Mohan Babu, Vishnu Manchu’s father and a producer of ‘Kannappa’ had starred together.
Rajinikanth watched the film with his family, during which Mohan Babu and Vishnu Manchu were also present.
Vishnu Manchu shared on X (formerly Twitter) that after the film, Rajinikanth gave him a tight hug and said he loved the movie.
Vishnu expressed immense gratitude, stating he had been waiting 22 years as an actor for that hug and felt ‘encouraged. Humbled. Grateful’.
Mohan Babu also shared that Rajinikanth’s ‘love, warmth, and encouragement’ after the film was something he would never forget.
This positive feedback from Rajinikanth is a significant boost for the ‘Kannappa team as the film gears up for its worldwide theatrical release on 27 June.
