Preity Mukhundhan, who recently appeared in the Netflix film ‘Blast’, says accepting the project was a bold decision in her career.
Speaking during promotions for her upcoming film ‘Idhayam Murali’, she said many actresses might have hesitated to accept such a role, but she was eager to explore an action-oriented character. She also expressed happiness over the positive audience response to her performance.
Preity revealed that she had signed ‘Idhayam Murali’ before ‘Blast’. She described her role in the new film as much lighter and completely different from the intense character she portrayed in the action drama.
‘Blast’ revolves around a family of fighters caught in a dangerous conspiracy involving a criminal syndicate. The cast includes Arjun, Abhirami, Vivek Prasanna, John Kokken, Arjun Chidambaram, Pawan and Dileepan.
Directed by debutant Aakash Bhaskaran, ‘Idhayam Murali’ stars Atharvaa in the lead role alongside Kayadu Lohar, Fahadh Faasil, Thaman, Rakshan, Dravid Selvam, Sudhakar and Angeline. The film is scheduled for a theatrical release on July 10.
