Dhruv Vikram is set to join forces with director Mari Selvaraj for his next.
The yet-to-be titled film will be bankrolled by Pa Ranjith’s Neelam Studios and Applause Entertainment. It is scheduled to commence production in early 2024.
The upcoming film will mark Dhruv’s first collaboration with Mari Selvaraj, who has helmed ‘Karnan’, ‘Maamannan’, and ‘Pariyerum Perumal’.
It is touted to be a sports drama with the actor set to essay the role of Manathi Ganesan, an Asian Games Gold Medalist and Arjuna Awardee Kabaddi player.
Actor Anupama Parameswaran who was last seen in ‘Siren’ in Tamil, will play the female lead, marking her first project with Mari Selvaraj and Dhruv Vikram.
Pa Ranjith, who backed ‘Pariyerum Perumal’, will once again be taking the producer’s seat and co-produce the film along with Applause Entertainment which backed 2023’s hit crime thriller ‘Por Thozhil’.
