Netflix has acquired the streaming rights for Suriya’s highly anticipated film, ‘Suriya 46’.
The deal is reportedly one of the largest for a South Indian film, with a reported value of around Rs 85 crore.
The film, tentatively titled Suriya 46, is a period action drama directed by Venky Atluri, with Mamitha Baiju and Raveena Tandon also in the cast.
The deal highlights Suriya’s immense star power and the growing demand for South Indian films on a global scale.
The film, which is currently in production, is being planned as a multi-lingual project to cater to a pan-Indian audience. This high-value acquisition by Netflix signals strong confidence in the film’s potential to be a major success.
