Malayalam director Chidambaram, who is basking in the success of his latest movie ‘Manjummel Boys’ is set to make its debut in Tamil cinema.
Reportedly, he has been roped into direct Tamil star Dhanush in his next directorial outing. An official confirmation, however, on the same is awaited.
Chidambaram recently met Dhanush and expressed joy after receiving praise from him. “Thank you for the love and reception,” the director had captioned.
It’s said that the said project will be bankrolled by Romeo Pictures, the company that produced ‘Valimai’, ‘Nenjukku Needhi’ and ‘Thunivu’ among others.
‘Manjummel Boys’ has created a box office history by becoming the fastest Malayalam film to cross the coveted Rs 100 crore mark at the box office.
Within three weeks of its release, the film shattered several box office records in the history of Malayalam cinema.
