Malavika Mohanan has wrapped up her portions in director Thiagarajan Kumararaja’s upcoming Tamil film ‘Pocket Novel’.
The actress shared the update on social media, reflecting on the experience of working on the film and the relationships she developed with the cast and crew during the shoot.
‘Pocket Novel’ features Vijay Sethupathi in the lead, with Raj B Shetty and Kishore also part of the cast. Maestro Ilaiyaraaja is composing the music for the project. The film marks Kumararaja’s third feature as a director.
In her note, Malavika spoke about how spending extended periods together on a film set often creates strong bonds among the people involved. She particularly thanked Vijay Sethupathi for being a supportive co-star and for giving her the freedom to approach her role with confidence.
The actor also expressed her appreciation for Kumararaja, praising his distinctive perspective and the way he approaches both filmmaking and his relationships with collaborators.
Interestingly, Malavika and Vijay Sethupathi had previously been associated with ‘Petta’ and ‘Master’, but did not share screen space in those films. ‘Pocket Novel’ brings them together as co-stars for the first time.
The film is being produced under the Tyler Durden and Kino Fist banner. The makers have kept details about the storyline under wraps, adding to the curiosity surrounding the project.
