Director Lokesh Kanagaraj attended the Comic Con event in Chennai recently and interacted with the press.
The director said that he is currently working on the script of ‘Thalaivar 171’ and pre-production process is expected to start in two to three months.
Lokesh also mentioned that he is in communication with Superstar Rajinikanth over phone, while also staying away from social media in order to focus on ‘Thalaivar 171’.
Backed by Sun Pictures banner, the film has music by Anirudh Ravichander. It is highly unlikely the film will come under Lokesh Cinematic Universe (LCU) which includes ‘Kaithi’, ‘Vikram’ and ‘Leo’.
On the other hand, recently while speaking to the press, Rajinikanth had confirmed that he will immediately start shooting for his 171st outing after wrapping up ‘Vettaiyan’.
‘Vettaiyan’ is helmed by TJ Gnanavel and boasts a star ensemble including Amitabh Bachchan, Fahadh Faasil, Rana Daggubati, Manju Warrier, Dushara Vijayan among others.
