People are looking to keep themselves inspired and motivated during the time of pandemic and lockdown. We list out some of the motivational Tamil films that will help people to overcome these time of difficulties.
Nayakan (1987)
‘Nayakan’ is a Gangster film starring Kamal Haasan and Saranya in the lead roles, the film is loosely based on the life of the Bombay underworld don Varadarajan Mudaliar, as it tells the story of a young boy Sakthivel and how he becomes the most feared gangster of Mumbai. Nayakan is often considered as one of the greatest films ever made.
Apart from the story and other things, the film inspired a lot of youngsters to become filmmakers. Most of the well-established actors and directors have openly accepted that they started dreaming of filmmaking only after watching Nayakan.
Annaamalai (1992)
The film is about two friends Annaamalai, a poor milkman, and Ashok, son of a rich businessman, complications arise, as Ashok’s father opposes the friendship and tries to sabotage it, the film showcases Tamil cinema at it’s finest, it has everything you would expect in a good Tamil Movie, Epic dialogues, loads of action sequences and great acting, the overall theme of the film revolves around true friendship, making it a great watch.
Mugavaree (1999)
‘Mugavaree’ is a film that has motivated many young people who want to work in the film industry. Ajith plays a struggling musician who rises through the ranks to become a successful music composer. The film is regarded as one of Ajith’s best from his early years in the industry. The movie was a great source of inspiration for many.
Ajith and Jyothika’s top-notch performances in the leading roles were just a cherry on top of the cake.
Anbe Sivam (2003)
The film tells the story of two unmatched perosnalities, played by Kamal and Madhavan, taking a trip from Bhubaneshwar to Chennai.
As the film unfolds, we can’t help getting mesmerized by the sheer genius of the script and heartwarming performances by the two main leads. ‘Anbe Sivam’ is considered as one of the best motivational films in Kollywood.
Mayakkam Enna (2011)
‘Mayakkam Enna’ is one of Dhanush’s most important films. The film also has the distinction of being another excellent Dhanush-Selvaraghavan collaboration. GV Prakash was the film’s unsung hero.
‘Mayakkam Enna’, his theme, is one of GV Prakash’s best compositions. Dhanush aspires to be a wildlife photographer, and the movie depicts his challenges along the way.
Aramm (2017)
The plot revolves around a District Collector named Madhivadhani who faces a big professional challenge after a young village child, falls into a deep borewell.
Nayanthara does a brilliant job in her portrayal of District Collector and the film has a sense of raw and realness to it, all the scenes are beautifully shot and the background score adds to the drama that unfolds, Overall ‘Aramm’ is an emotional movie which has an intelligent screenplay and an intriguing narrative that will keep you hooked till the end.
