The actress, who rose to prominence with the film Dragon, specifically spoke out against the widely circulated, false allegation that she had demanded a hefty sum of Rs 35 lakhs to attend an event hosted by political figures.
Known for her candid nature, Lohar was visibly moved as she discussed how online harassment has affected her mental well-being and her family. “It’s difficult to wake up every morning and see vicious, untrue stories being circulated about your professional and personal life,” she said, holding back tears.
“I am here because of my work, and it hurts when trolls divert the focus from my performance to fictional gossip.”
The actress emphasized the need for a healthier digital environment and asked fans to support artists’ work rather than engaging in negativity.
