Karthi’s upcoming action-comedy ‘Vaa Vaathiyar’, directed by Nalan Kumarasamy, has successfully cleared the censor board with a U/A certificate.
Karthi portrays a police officer who is a die-hard fan of the legendary M.G. Ramachandran (MGR), which is expected to lead to several nostalgic and humorous moments.
While legal and financial hurdles delayed its initial December release, there is strong speculation that the film will now target the Sankranthi/Pongal window to capitalize on the void left by other postponed releases.
The film features Krithi Shetty in her Tamil debut as a “Gypsy spirit reader” and boasts a soundtrack composed by Santhosh Narayanan, adding to the high expectations for this commercial entertainer.
