Actor Kamal Haasan has reportedly approached the Madras High Court to safeguard his personality rights.
The actor filed a lawsuit to prevent the unauthorized commercial use of his name, image, and the iconic title “Ulaganayagan.”
This comes after various firms allegedly sold merchandise featuring his likeness and famous dialogues without permission.
Haasan’s legal team emphasized that this protection is crucial in the age of Artificial Intelligence, where deepfakes and unauthorized digital recreations pose a threat to an actor’s reputation and brand value.
