Kamal Haasan mourns the loss of ‘He-Man’ Dharmendra

The Indian film fraternity is in mourning following the demise of Bollywood stalwart Dharmendra, who passed away in Mumbai at the age of 89.
Known affectionately as the ‘He-Man of Bollywood,’ Dharmendra leaves behind a colossal legacy spanning over six decades and 300 films.

Veteran actor Kamal Haasan expressed profound grief, offering a heartfelt tribute to his “dear friend.” Haasan praised Dharmendra’s immense contribution to cinema, noting that his “charm, humility, and strength of spirit were as real off-screen as on it.”

Other major stars, including Rajinikanth, Amitabh Bachchan, and Salman Khan, also offered their condolences. The versatile actor, a recipient of the Padma Bhushan in 2012, was iconic for roles in films like Sholay and Chupke Chupke.
His final cinematic appearance will be posthumous, in Sriram Raghavan’s Ikkis, scheduled for a December 2025 release.
