The wait for the sequel to the 2019 hit ‘Kaalidas’ is nearly over. The makers of ‘Kaalidas 2’ released an intense official trailer yesterday, featuring Bharath reprising his role as the stoic Inspector Kaalidas.
The trailer, which opens with the haunting line “Bayama irukku sir…” (I’m scared, sir), hints at a series of mysterious ritualistic murders that baffle the police department. This installment is being promoted as a “Monster Hunt,” taking the investigative thriller elements of the first part to a much darker and larger scale.
Directed by Sri Senthil, the film also marks the significant return of veteran actress Sangita to the screen.
To ensure a solo release window, the makers have slightly pushed the release date; the film is now officially set to hit theaters on April 10, 2026, avoiding a clash with Love Insurance Kompany.
