I-T officials at Vijay’s house again

A month after conducting raids at his residence and other places, Income Tax officials visited Vijay’s house once again on Thursday, sending shock waves among the actor’s fans.

However, reports said the sleuths at Vijay’s house to remove ‘Prohibition order’. “This is not a raid or search. During the search last month, we sealed certain rooms, draws and lockers. We are in the process of removing the seal,” officials were quoted as saying.

Last month, VIjay was bought to Chennai from the sets of ‘Master’ in Neyveli, when the raids happened. Searches were also conducted at the places of AGS Entertainment, the producers of ‘Bigil’, and financier Anbuchezhian.

According to a press release from I-T department at that time, ”The common thread among all these entities was the success of a recent film which was a box office hit collecting around Rs 300 crore.

Large number of property documents, promissory notes, post dated cheques taken as collateral security were recovered during the search and have been seized. As per evidence detected during the search, it is estimated that the concealment, in this case, is likely to exceed Rs. 300 crore.”
