At a time when many are of the opinion that the Tamil remake of Kannada film ‘Mufti’, which was supposed to have STR aka Simbu and Gautham Karthik in lead roles, was dropped, the ‘Kadal’ hero has said the project is very much on.
“Many people think that our film is shelved. But when I recently asked my produced Gnanavel sir, he confidently said that the shoot will be resumed very soon,” Gautham Karthik said in an interview.
He added: “Whenever STR joins the shoot, he would complete his scenes swiftly. I always want to know his trick of completing scenes quickly. Next time, have to ask him the secret.”
The film was set to be helmed by Narthan, who directed the original as well. The yet untitled flick is being produced by K E Gnanavelraja of Studio Green. Mufti’ is a 2017 Indian Kannada neo-noir action crime thriller film directed by Narthan, making his debut, and produced by Jayanna Combines.
The film tells the story of a police officer, played by Sriimurali, who tracks down and confronts an underworld boss, played by Shiva Rajkumar.
