Tamil cinema always welcomed talents from across the globe with open arms. The recent in the list of foreign actors to be part of a Kollywood film is Ukrainian native Maria Ryaboshapka who has played the female lead in Sivakarthikeyan’s ‘Prince’. Let us take a look at some of the foreign actors who have made an impact in Kollywood.
Maria Ryaboshapka:
Maria Ryaboshapka is an Ukrainian actress and model. She is best known for Special Ops 1.5: The Himmat Story (2021) and Eter (2018). She will be making her Kollywood debut with ‘Prince’ starring Sivakarthikeyan and directed by Anudeep.
Elli AvrRam:
Ellie AvrRam played the role of Dhanush’s wife in the recently released ‘Naane Varuven’ directed by Selvaraghavan. The Swedish-Greek actor came to prominence after participating in the reality show Bigg Boss in 2013.
Amy Jackson:
Amy Jackson, the UK model made her acting debut in Kollywood with the periodic romantic drama ‘Madharasapattinam’, directed by Vijay. She played a British young girl in the film. Amy Jackson then used the opportunity and transformed into a popular Indian actress by doing several hit films across languages. She was also part of Shankar’s ‘I’ and ‘2.0’. She is now part of Acham Enbathu illaye starring Arun Vijay and directed by A L Vijay.
Olivia Morris:
Olivia Morris, plays the role of Jennifer in ‘RRR’, who is Komaram Bheem’s (Jr NTR) love interest. Morris graduated from the Royal Welsh College of Music and Drama and is trained from the National Youth Theatre. She has also been a part of plays based on Macbeth
Johnny Tri Nguyen:
Johnny Tri Nguyen started his cinema journey with Hollywood and shot to fame by being part of several box office blockbusters. Johnny Tri Nguyen played a terrific role as an antagonist against Suriya in ‘7am Arivu’, which was directed by AR Murugadoss. Johnny Tri Nguyen’s role in the 2011 science fiction martial arts drama received a good response.
Danny Sapani:
British actor Danny Sapani played the role of an international drug cartel leader in Suriya starrer ‘Singam 2’. He is the main antagonist of the film. Danny Sapani’s battle with Suriya worked well, and it turned out to be one of the reasons for the film’s success.
