A convincing spy story

Sardar

– Review

Karthi is a publicity-hungry cop, who will do anything to be trending. Laila, an activist campaigning against privatisation of water bodies dies mysteriously.
Karthi begins to investigate the death of the activist. This investigation leads to several startling revelations.
Karthi realises that only his father (Karthi) will be able to stop the people behind the conspiracy. What happens next forms the rest of the story.
Director PS Mithran has made a spy movie which is sure to keep the audience engaged. The director has also conveyed an important message through the film.
He has loaded the movie with information which at times becomes overwhelming. Karthi is terrific in the dual roles. He has his mass moments and utilises them well.
The several getups that he dons in the movie are also convincing. Raashi Khanna and Rajisha Vijayan are convincing in their roles.
Chunky Pandey has done complete justice to his role. Technical aspects of the movie are good as well. GV Prakash’s BGM is terrific and George C Williams’ camerawork is appreciable.

Rating: 4/5
