The makers of ‘Jackie’ have released an extended glimpse that introduces Dhruv Vikram in a role far removed from the usual hero template.
The video presents him as a stunt performer who steps in to execute a dangerous sequence after the film’s lead actor refuses to do it over safety concerns. But the character’s troubles don’t appear to end once the cameras stop rolling, hinting at a larger conflict in the story.
Directed by Karan Arvind Kumar, ‘Jackie’ marks his first outing as a filmmaker. The glimpse points to a commercial action drama packed with stunts, conflict and larger-than-life moments.
Dhruv is joined in the cast by Sai Dheena, Arunachaleshwaran Pa and Prudhvi Raj.
The technical crew features composer Santhosh Narayanan, cinematographer Viki, editor Jayasuriya S and production designer GM Sekhar. Action sequences have been designed by stunt choreographer Vikram Mor. Mythri Movie Makers is backing the project.
