It looks there would be a mighty clash between Vijay’s ‘Master’ helmed by Lokesh Kanagaraj and Suriya-starrer ‘Soorarai Pottru’ directed by Sudha Kongura in the box-office this summer.
If trade sources are to be believed, both movies would hit the screens on April 9, ahead of the Tamil New Year day. “Till this moment, it is expected that there would be a clash between the two films,” sources add.
Vijay Sethupathi, Malavika Mohanan, Andrea, Shantanu, and Gauri Kishan play important roles in ‘Master’, which has musical score by Anirudh Ravichander. The first look poster of the movie was released on December 31, as New Year treat to Vijay fans.
‘Soorari Pottru’, said to be a biopic on Air Deccan founder G R Gopinath, has Aparna Balamurali, Mohan Babu and Jackie Shroff in key characters. G V Prakash Kumar was selected to work on the film’s music, collaborating with director Sudha and actor Suriya for the first time. Niketh Bommireddy handles the film’s cinematography.
