TVK workers and supporters today marked the birthday of Chief Minister Vijay. The occasion assumes added significance as it is his first birthday after taking charge as the state’s Chief Minister.
Tamilaga Vettri Kazhagam (TVK) functionaries have organised a series of public outreach and welfare initiatives in various districts. Instead of focusing solely on celebratory events, party units organised blood donation drives, free medical camps, educational assistance programmes and food distribution activities.
In Chennai and other major cities, constituency-level events were also planned. Sources indicate that Vijay may participate in select public events and interact with residents in his constituency as part of the day’s schedule. Party leaders have urged cadres to ensure that celebrations remain orderly and service-oriented.
Birthday greetings started pouring in from political leaders, members of the film industry and supporters from across the state, while social media platforms have witnessed a surge in messages wishing the Chief Minister on the occasion.
Authorities are expected to implement additional security measures at venues associated with the celebrations to ensure smooth conduct of the events.
