Wahidha further alleged that Muthukumaran later told her he did not wish to continue the relationship. She said the change in circumstances caused her severe emotional distress and linked it to her reported suicide attempt.

Muthukumaran has also reportedly offered his version of the relationship, describing the two as friends and questioning why Wahidha had made the allegations. His reported response adds another dimension to the dispute, although the differing accounts have not been independently established.
