Director Atlee has praised the recently unveiled trailer of ‘Ramayana’, appreciating the vision of producer Namit Malhotra and filmmaker Nitesh Tiwari.
Posting on social media, Atlee described the trailer as visually spectacular and complimented the performances and screen presence of Yash, Ranbir Kapoor, and Sai Pallavi, while wishing the team success.
The trailer was first introduced during an event in New Delhi, with the makers also announcing that it will be showcased at Comic-Con San Diego 2026 before its online release on July 24.
Following the launch, a phone-recorded version of a scene reportedly surfaced online. According to media reports, the production team has initiated anti-piracy measures to remove unauthorized uploads from various platforms.
Directed by Nitesh Tiwari, ‘Ramayana’ is the first installment of a planned two-part franchise. The cast includes Ranbir Kapoor as Rama, Sai Pallavi as Sita, Yash as Ravana, Sunny Deol as Hanuman, Ravi Dubey as Lakshman, along with Amitabh Bachchan, Arun Govil, Lara Dutta, Vivek Oberoi, Kajal Aggarwal, Rakul Preet Singh, Kunal Kapoor, Sheeba Chaddha, Indira Krishnan and Shobana. The film is scheduled for a worldwide release on November 6, 2026, during the Diwali season.
