Arvind Swamy is said to be playing a key role in Simbu aka STR’s ‘Maanaadu’ directed by Venkat Prabhu. According to sources, the ‘Bombay’ and ‘Thani Oruan’ actor will be the antagonist in the movie.
It may be recalled that Arvind Swamy and STR had acted together earlier in Mani Ratnam’s ‘Chekka Chivantha Vaanam’ and the two, it is said, share a good bonding.
Yuvan Shankar Raja will be composing the music for ‘Maanaadu’ which is likely to be wrapped up in one go. There is a buzz that Venkat Prabhu’s younger brother and actor Premgi Amaran will assist Yuvan in the musical score of ‘Maanaadu’, besides playing an interesting role in the film.
It is to be noted that Yuvan and Venkat Prabhu-Premgi are cousins. While Yuvan is the son of maestro Ilayaraja, Venkat and Premgi are sons of music composer-filmmaker Gangai Amaran, who is the younger brother of the ‘Isaignani’.
‘Maanaadu’ which was announced with much fanfare was then dropped due to alleged non-cooperation from Simbu. But it was later revived after the actor came forward to complete the project on priority.
