ARR Ameen explains Chennai car accident, confirms he was not driving

ARR Ameen, the son of composer AR Rahman, has clarified details about the car accident near Kathipara in Chennai after reports about the incident appeared in the media.

Ameen said he was travelling towards the airport and was seated in the passenger seat while his friend was driving the car. The vehicle was involved in a collision after a car ahead reportedly moved despite a red traffic signal.

Following the incident, Ameen and his sister Khatija Rahman took to Instagram to provide clarification and urged media outlets to verify the circumstances before publishing reports.

Ameen said everyone involved in the accident was safe and expressed gratitude for what he described as divine protection.

He also thanked his father AR Rahman, musician and cousin GV Prakash, and his grandmother for their prayers and support. Ameen said the values and guidance he received from his family continue to influence him.

On the professional front, Ameen has recently been associated with the Tamil version of the song “Chikiri Chikiri” from Ram Charan’s upcoming film Peddi. He has also collaborated with Jasleen Royal on the independent track “Bheegi Bheegi”, which features Dulquer Salmaan and Mrunal Thakur.
