Anupama Parameswaran’s long-delayed film Lockdown has finally been cleared by the censor board with a U/A certificate, but the team has opted to postpone the release.
The decision reportedly stems from rain issues, scheduling challenges and the need to secure a more favourable window at the box office.
The film, set against the backdrop of pandemic-era emotions and interpersonal conflicts, is expected to benefit from a strategic release date.
With the censor formalities complete, the makers will soon announce a fresh timeline.
Directed by A R Jeeva, the movie is produced by Lyca Productions and also features actors Charlie, Nirosha, Priya Venkat, Livingston, Indhumathi, Rajkumar, Shamji, Lollu Sabha Maran, Vinayak Raj, Vidhu, Abhirami, Ravathi, Sanjivie, Priya Ganesh and Asha among others.
Music for the film has been scored by NR Raghunanthan and Siddharth Vipin, while cinematography is by K.A. Sakthivel.
