Dhanush has won the Best Actor Award at the BRICS Film Festival, which was held alongside the 52nd edition of the International Film Festival of India.
It may be noted that Dhanush had won the National Award for the film earlier this year.
Lara Boldorini won the Best Actor (Female) for her performance in the Brazilian film ‘On Wheels’.
South African film ‘Barakat’ and Russian film ‘The Sun Above Me Never Sets’ shared the Best Film Award.
This is the first time that the BRICS Film Festival has been conducted alongside the IFFI. The BRICS festival had films from Brazil, Russia, India, China and South Africa participating in it.
