At a time when everyone was expecting that there would be a royal clash in the boxoffice as Ajith’s ‘Thunivu’ and Vijay’s ‘Varisu’ are releasing on the same day (January 12), there seems to be a change in this.
According to sources, one of these two films will be releasing on January 11 itself and an official announcement is expected to be made soon.
This decision, sources say, is being mafe to avoid clash between the fans of Vijay and Ajith in theatres on the first day of the release of their favourite stars’ movies.
Directed by H Vinoth, ‘Thunivu’ also stars Manju Warrier, John Kokken, Veera, Samuthirakani, Mamathi Chari and Prem Kumar in prominent roles. Produced by Boney Kapoor, music for the movie is by Ghibran.
‘Varisu’ bankrolled by Tollywood’s leading producer Dil Raju has Rashmika Mandanna as the female lead. The film is directed by Vamsi Paidipally.
‘Varisu’ features a strong star cast that includes many popular faces including Khushbu Sundar and Sarathkumar.
