Though they are competitors in box-office, Ajith and Vijay share a beautiful friendship off screen. Proving this yet again, the ‘thala’ has reached out to the ‘thalapathy’ over phone as soon as the former came to know that the latter’s son Jason Sanjay was stranded in Canada.
“Ajith spoke to Vijay and enquired about Jason’s safety. He expressed hope that Jason would reach Chennai soon. Ajith’s soothing words were a great matter of solace for Vijay,” sources said.
Jason Sanjay, who is studying filmmaking at a university in Canada, is stranded in that country due to global lockdown to prevent the spread of coronavirus pandemic.
Though Jason is said to be safe, it is said Vijay and other members of the family are concerned about him and are in regular touch with him. “They want him to reach India at the earliest,” sources said.
Vijay is currently staying at his ECR residence with his wife Sangeetha and daughter Divya Sasha. Meanwhile, the actor’s ‘Master’, which was supposed to hit the screens on April 9 but could not do so due to lockdown, is now expected to see the light of the day on June 22, which happens to be the birthday of Vijay.
